Billy Decker And Ryan Phelps End The Month Of July As The NAPA Know How Performers Of The Week

BREWERTON, NY - July 31,2012 (By Dave Medler) - Billy Decker and Ryan Phelps both had impressive drivers to victory last weekend at the Brewerton and Fulton Speedways, that resulted in trips to victory lane. For their victories, they close out the month of July as the "NAPA Know How" Performers Of The Week.

At the Brewerton Speedway on wicked fast racing surface, Billy Decker started 12th in the 35 lap Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified. By lap 11 Decker worked his way into the top-five after a spirited  battle with Mike Bowman, Mike Mahaney and Chuck Bower. Once in the top-five Decker worked his way to the front getting by Jim Witko Jr. for the lead on lap 30. Once in the lead, Decker drove to the 1.857 second win over Witko.

"Class of the field," that is what Ryan Phelps and his new Bicknell chassis was Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway in the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds. Phelps, who started twelfth in the 35 lap feature, quickly worked his way to the front, on the quick and multi-groove racing surface getting by Chuck Bower at the halfway point for the lead. Once out front, Phelps held off a few challenges from Bower before pulling away for the three-second victory.

With his win Ryan Phelps now has a guaranteed starting spot for the prestigious  $20,000-to-win Sunoco Fulton Ethanol Facility Outlaw 200 by SUNY Canton on Saturday, September 29th.

For their performances, Billy Decker and Ryan Phelps, will receive $100 “NAPA Know How" Performer of The Week that is awarded weekly at both Brewerton and Fulton Speedways to one driver that outperforms all others that week across all classes.

The new NAPA Brewerton and Fulton Speedway Racer Discount Card are again in place. Each active speedway competitor will receive a NAPA card that will provide discounted pricing on most racing related purchases throughout the 2012 race season. Drivers will need to sign up with Speedway officials to be eligible for the program.
