Burke's Do-It-Best-Home Centers Present Family Fun Racing This Saturday August 25 At The Fulton Speedway

FULTON, NY - August 20, 2012 (By Dave Medler) - The Fulton Speedway would like to welcome back Burke's Do-It-Best-Home- Centers of Oswego & Fulton as they present an affordable, family fun, night this Saturday, August 25th.

On the race card will be the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds, SUNY Canton Sportsman, NAPA Late Models, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman, Parts Plus Four Cylinder Stocks and a Ladies Race.

After a photo finish last week in the Modifieds that was won by Tom Sears Jr. over Tim Sears Jr. and a green to checker Sportsman race, here is a look at the standings with only two point races left to decide the 2012 track champions.

In the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds, Billy Decker has only a 27 point lead over Ryan Phelps, 35 over Pat Ward and a 42 over Larry Wight.

Jordan Bennett controls his own destination towards his first ever SUNY Canton Sportsman Track Championship. coming into this Saturday, Bennett leads Jim Spano by 63 points.

The NAPA Late Models look like they are going to come right down to the final point race. Tim Sears Jr. holds a slim 8 point lead over Larry Wight, with Rick Miller only 12 back.

In the E&V Energy Novice Sportsman, Klye Fink leads "Mr. Consistency" Gary Hoppins by 18 points. Brandon Ford, Corey Barker and Bailey Groves sit third through fifth in the standings.

Skip DeGroff owns a 36 point lead over Mark Johnston in the Parts Plus Four Cylinder Stocks. Eric M. Zirbel, Matt Dawson and Keith Zirbel show in the top-five in the standings.

Gates will open this Saturday August 18, at 5:00 with racing starting at 7:00. Adult grandstand admission will be $12 with everyone 18 years old and younger admitted FREE to the grandstands.
