BALDWINSVILLE, NY – MARCH 15, 2014 (By Dave Medler) – If the Gater Racing News Motorsports Expo at the New York State Fairgrounds last weekend was any indication, the Brewerton and Fulton Speedways are looking ahead to a fun and exciting 2014 season.

All weekend long there was constant traffic of fans and competitors picking up schedules, parents registering kids for the Jr. Fan Club, fans signing up for ticket giveaways and an overall enthusiastic upbeat mood with the racing season just over a month away.

Congratulations goes out to our Fulton Speedway ticket prize winner. Nancy Gable – Weedsport, NY – Two pairs of tickets for the April 26 “Highbank Holdup” 100-lap Super DIRTcar Series plus $1000 –to-win Industrial Tire Sportsman Championship Qualifier & Pro Race Cars Mod Lites and the July 23 Tracey Road Equipment presents “Salute to the King” STP World of Outlaw Sprints plus $1000-to-win Industrial Tire Sportsman Championship Qualifier. Bill Trexler- Parish, NY, Melanie Northrup -Cobleskill, NY and Hugh Bellen -Syracuse, NY won six pack general admission tickets to either speedway.

Now all eyes turn to the “Blastoff 2014” car show at the Great Northern Mall located in Clay, NY April, 4-6. This show is being brought back by popular demand from both racers and fans who have missed the popular show. For fans it’s a great way to see some of the new racing equipment that will do battle at the Brewerton Speedway (Fridays) and the Fulton Speedway (Saturdays). Like the Motorsports Expo it will be a chance to buy season tickets, grab schedules, signup for the popular Jr. Fan Club and enter to win tickets.

For race teams this is a great way to get your sponsors name out in the public eye, talk to current race fans and talk to people who could be future race fans due to your presence.

Already entered in the show to date are the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds – Katelyn Kane and Chad Phelps. SUNY Canton Sportsman – Tony Finch II, Andrew Ferguson, Rocco Leone and Nick Krause. NAPA Late Models – Rick Miller, Shayne Tenace, Scott Ford and Brandon Ford. Nationwide Insurance IMCA Modifieds – Dane Keller, Chris Fleming and Tom Mackey. Four Cylinder Stock – Colby Herzog and the 600 Mini-Sprint – Dylan Zacharias.

Race teams there is still limited space remaining for you to get your car in the show. Just go to www.brewertonspeedway.com or www.fultonspeedway.com right on the front page you will see a link that will take you to a form to fill out and send in online.
